Roles and Responsibilities of the Accounting Intern
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and invoices.
- Support day-to-day accounting operations and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Help manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing payments and billing activities.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records for all financial transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Conduct financial research, analysis, and reporting as required.
- Participate in audits and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
Essential Skills and Experience of the Accounting Intern
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
