Business Insider is hiring a manager to join our Consumer Research & Insights team to provide coverage during parental leave.
This is a 4 month full time position (with a strong likelihood of extension for another 3 months) working 40 hours a week Monday through Friday 9AM - 5PM EST.

The Role & Team:
As a Consumer Research & Insights manager you will cultivate the best research stories to support the RFP flow and help drive revenue growth across categories.You will be a trusted contributor, collaborator with the Marketing Solutions and Sales teams, and self-sufficient with data pulls and analysis. Trusted data analysis and storytelling expertise is a must for success in this role. This role reports directly to the Head of Consumer Research & Insights and sits within the Global Marketing & Studios department.
This role will be remote with the potential to come to the office if in the NYC tri state area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide insights and data for ad-hoc research requests to support RFP proposals and proactive materials globally
- Maintain and refine the resources that will provide sales and marketing teams with the insights and knowledge to support internal and external recommendations and outreach
- Disseminate information in a creative and easy-to-use format to be incorporated into a range of sales and marketing materials from emails to slides and presentations
- Work with internal teams on the development and execution of research and insights projects
- Research media and industry trends
- Write and program short surveys, and analyze insights from these survey
The Ideal Candidate Has:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3-5 years experience in a consumer insights, research, marketing, role at a brand, agency, or media company
- Comfortable analyzing data, interpreting insights and communicating findings
- A good understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
- Expertise in Comscore (min. 3 years of experience working with Comscore), as well as experience with other syndicated research tools (i.e. Ipsos, GWI, Similarweb) and industry/third-party resources (i.e. EMARKETER)
- Min. 3 years of experience working with Google Analytics data
- Comfortable working in G-Suite (Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Slides), and Microsoft tools (PPT, Excel)
- Comfortable working with people of all levels and across all departments
- Excellent analytical, writing and presentation skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Able to work in a fast-moving environment and meet deadlines
