The Role & Team:
As the Senior Product Manager you will be the product owner responsible for driving value to our Personal Finance Insider product and business line. You'll optimize current offerings, such as monetizing syndicated content, uncover new opportunities, and enable the business to capture them via product development. You'll partner with engineering teams, other product managers, Service Journalism business leads, UXD experts, vendors, and merchants to serve our readers and help improve their financial well-being.This role reports directly to the Director of Product for Service Journalism.
It can be in-office, hybrid, or fully remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and align the Personal Finance Insider product objectives and software development efforts while emphasizing constant value, improvement, and innovation.
- Foster a culture of user-centricity, innovation, and data-informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to develop and maintain a cohesive product vision and roadmap.
- Drive transparency and alignment through cross-functional communication, ensuring progress and solutions are understood across the organization.
- Collaborate in setting quarterly goals and define and track key product metrics.
The Ideal Candidate Has:
- Extensive knowledge of product management principles, theories, and frameworks, with a proven track record of applying these to manage and grow a successful product.
- Demonstrated experience in leading product teams and managing multiple product initiatives or a portfolio of products with quantifiable success.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate vision, strategy, and complex ideas to all levels of the organization, including public speaking and presentation proficiency.
- Proficiency with modern product management, analytical, and engineering tools such as Jira, Figma, Trello, Looker, and Google Analytics or their equivalents.
- A passion for news, media, journalism, or the relevant industry domain is a plus, contributing to a deep understanding of the audience's needs and market trends.
- Experience managing digital products that monetize Personal Finance or similar content via affiliate marketing (preferred, not required).

- Base salary: $135,000 - $145,000 (dependent on skills, experience, and competencies)
