Locally Employed Staff Trainer & Organizational Development Coach – Arlington, VA
Background:Kent, Campa and Kate Incorporated (KCK) is a federal contracting company that provides professional services to Government Agencies. We are currently seeking candidates for a Staff Trainer & Organizational Development Coach position in Arlington, VA at the Foreign Service Institute (FSI). Position Description:The expert Staff Trainer and Organizational Development Coach partners with managers, curriculum specialists, facilitators, and other SMEs in two FSI Schools, four Regional Training Centers (RTCs), and other Department Bureaus.
The position works in multicultural settings and provides expert level course and curriculum development and “Train-the-Trainer” services to create, update, and effectively develop training solutions that impact a training audience of 50,000 Locally Employed Staff (LE Staff). The position also provides feedback to the Government on how to facilitate effective communications with LE Staff. Requirements:
- Master’s degree in organizational development.
- Five (5) years of experience in effectively designing and leading high-profile training and organizational development activities.
- Four (4) years of experience training adult learners in-person and/or virtually.
- Strong ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff, particularly senior leaders, both written and orally.
- Experience providing coaching solutions that must be utilized in diverse training environments overseas in virtual, in-person, and blended formats.
- Ability to gain consensus among stakeholders and develop training solutions requiring flexible learning products that can be effectively used with constraining factors, while still providing a consistent, effective, experience for trainees from all Posts.
- Ability to obtain a Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) clearance.
Working Duties (including but not limited to):
- Delivers effective and measurable virtual training to Locally Employed Staff (LE Staff) for an adult, multi-cultural audience who work at Foreign Service posts (embassy/consulate/mission) abroad.
- Apply theories, principles, methods, and practices of adult learning theory, to deliver effective training programs.
- Establish and maintain a respectful, culturally sensitive, equitable and inclusive classroom environment.
- Integrate a wide variety of educational technologies and continuous learning techniques to enhance the learning experience, maximize achievement of learning objectives, and facilitate the transfer of knowledge to the workplace or personal setting, as appropriate to course goals.
- Utilize tools, techniques, and processes for measuring and monitoring the effectiveness of FSI LE Staff curricula and courses.
- Tie curricula revisions to evaluation feedback, stakeholder needs, and updates to the overall subject matter of the course.
- Use evaluation feedback to inform course and curriculum design.
- Suggest innovative techniques for course, program, and curriculum development as per OPM's Guide for Assessing Strategic Training and Development Efforts in the Federal Government
- Collaborate with Government to develop tools and communication methods with stakeholders to continually receive feedback and iteratively update courses based on differing regional needs.
- Perform train-the-trainer activities, including certification, coaching and mentorship
- Consult with individuals about LE Staff training related issues and suggest broad-based program improvements.
- Perform customized high-profile training and organizational development activities to fit needs of senior leadership partners and LE Staff.
