Our solutions directly impact public trust and regulatory integrity, helping regulators and agencies meet 21st century standards by leveraging predictive analytics, Big Data, AI, and other innovative capabilities. About the RoleThe Director of Solution Engineering is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the Solution Engineering team to drive pre-sales and delivery technical efforts. This role involves building, managing and mentoring a team of Solution Engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, contributing to the successful deal closure and implementation of Thentia Cloud solutions for our customers.

The Director of Solution Engineering will play a crucial role in defining the technical strategy, enhancing product offerings, and delivering exceptional technical solutions that meet our customer needs.ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Management:

  • Build, lead, mentor, and manage a team of Solution Engineers to ensure high performance, professional growth, and alignment with company goals.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the Solution Engineering function and improve team efficiency and effectiveness.

Technical Strategy and Implementation:

  • Collaborate with the Sales, Product, Delivery, and Engineering teams to define and execute technical solutions strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Provide functional and technical leadership, collaboratively with our Product & Engineering Teams in the design and architecture of custom solutions, ensuring they meet client requirements and industry standards.
  • Oversee the creation of technical specifications, architecture diagrams, SOWs, and other documentation to support client implementations.

Customer Engagement:

  • Provide technical advisory in the solutions design process for prospective customers, building and maintaining strong relationships to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Lead technical presentations, workshops, and proof-of-concept sessions to demonstrate the value and capabilities of Thentia Cloud solutions.

Product Development and Enhancement:

  • Identify product gaps and opportunities for improvement, translating client feedback into actionable product features and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with the Product team to influence the product roadmap and ensure new features are effectively integrated into client-specific implementations.

Sales Support:

  • Work closely with the Sales and Delivery team to scope proposals, estimate work, and identify technical solutions during the sales cycle.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical proposals and presentations, ensuring they are aligned with client needs and expectations.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality technical solutions that meet client requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Implement best practices for solution engineering, including demo and configuration standards, testing procedures, and documentation.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in solution engineering, software engineering, or a related technical field, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Proven experience in managing and leading technical teams, with a track record of delivering successful technical solutions.

  • Strong understanding of cloud computing, SaaS, and enterprise software solutions, with experience in integration, API, and microservices patterns.

  • Demonstrated experience in Agile and Waterfall development methodologies and requirements gathering processes is essential. 

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Well-developed ability to synthesize complex requirements into a customer ready conceptual demo that helps them envision solutions to solve their business opportunities. 

  • Experience in regulatory environments, specifically professional regulation, is highly beneficial as is experience working in regulated or controlled environments (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI). 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically.

  • Solid working experience in productivity solutions andtools such as CRMs,project management tools, documentation management tools, and Microsoft productivity suite is required. 

  • Ability to travel to client sites as required, up to 15% of the time.
