About the Role:As the Public Relations Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting our Federal government client, you will be lead strategic communication efforts for biometric identity services. Your expertise will be critical in driving public relations strategies, developing multimedia content, and ensuring communication initiatives align with mission objectives.
You will engage with stakeholders across government agencies to enhance communication regarding biometric identity services, ensuring alignment and consistency in messaging. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in national security efforts by enhancing public awareness and promoting the mission through strategic public affairs activities.Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Serve as a leader in executing public relations and strategic communications efforts related to biometric identity services, ensuring alignment with mission-critical objectives.
- Develop and implement strategic communications and public affairs plans, including messaging for both internal and external audiences, presentations, and digital content.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to craft public relations strategies, prepare talking points, and support events, including conferences, briefings, and media engagements.
- Lead the development of print and electronic content, including press releases, fact sheets, and social media content.
- Act as a liaison between government stakeholders and the contractor team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration in support of the mission.
- Provide technical and management leadership on public affairs initiatives, ensuring high-quality content and deliverables that align with government standards and protocols.

Location:You will work as part of a dynamic team in Springfield, Virginia. Required Experience/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public relations, communications, or a similar role with experience supporting government programs.
- Strong expertise in developing multimedia content for digital and print platforms, including press releases, websites, and social media.
- In-depth knowledge of government communication protocols, especially in the context of biometric identity services and public safety initiatives.
- Experience working with interagency and intergovernmental stakeholders across departments like DHS, Department of Justice, Department of State, and Department of Defense.
- Proven ability to lead high-impact communication projects that involve complex and large-scale biometric identity services.
- An active Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS-SCI) access.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Experience with DHS Public Affairs Office procedures and protocols, and familiarity with biometric identity services.
