Position Description:
Ardent is seeking a Senior Security Software Developer to join our team. As a Performance Tester at Ardent, you will be responsible for planning, executing, analyzing, and documenting performance tests to ensure our applications are robust and efficient. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify performance bottlenecks and provide actionable recommendations for improvement. Staying current with industry trends and tools is essential for this role.
Job Responsibilities:
- Test Planning: Develop comprehensive test plans, including detailed checklists, user scenarios, and pass/fail criteria. Define the scope and objectives of performance testing for each project.
- Test Execution: Conduct various performance tests such as load testing, stress testing, scalability testing, endurance testing, and volume testing. Use industry-standard tools to simulate real-world usage and identify potential performance issues.
- Test Analysis: Analyze test data and interpret graphs to identify key performance metrics. Diagnose performance bottlenecks and provide detailed analysis of test results.
- Recommendations: Offer actionable recommendations based on test results to improve system performance. Suggest performance optimizations and best practices to development teams.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and project managers, to address performance issues. Participate in defect triage meetings and assist in prioritizing performance-related defects.
- Documentation: Document test results thoroughly and create detailed reports for stakeholders. Log defects in a tracking tool and provide clear descriptions and reproduction steps.
- Staying Current: Keep abreast of the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in performance testing. Evaluate new performance testing tools and technologies for potential adoption.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in performance testing.
- Proficiency with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams and collaborating on large-scale projects.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and performance testing methodologies.
