The Media Connections Planning Supervisor is responsible for defining and developing integrated media strategies and associated initiatives across a variety of client teams in collaboration with client engagement and creative leaders. We are looking for an experienced paid media strategist to provide leadership and overall management of client work. This individual will have a track record of success with leadership, management, and execution across media channels.  This role requires an understanding and execution of cross-channel media programs and the ability to understand how that intersects with owned, earned, and shared media.

This individual is a results fanatic who thrives in a fast-paced agency setting. Additionally, the Media Connections Supervisor provides ongoing education on the ever-changing media world to clients and internal audiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:


  • Leads client relationships in partnership with Engagement and Creative teams to develop strategic recommendations for connecting a brand to its audience(s) and negotiating buying efforts across multiple channels.
  • Deeply engages in clients’ businesses to develop an understanding of audience(s) in order to develop strategies and tactics for paid media efforts. 
  • Develops strategies and tactics for paid media campaigns across channels including digital and traditional media. 
  • Works closely with media connections team members to move projects from initiation to completion effectively and efficiently to deliver successful client campaigns.
  • Understands the integrated relationship among advertising, branding, creative, digital, media planning and buying, public relations, and research employees.
  • Seeks to develop and implement new programs for clients with little direction.
  • Pursues innovative solutions for solving client needs.
  • Possesses a deep and extensive knowledge of digital communications.
  • Provides thought leadership and education to both clients and internal audiences.
  • Utilizes research tools to provide consumer and competitive insight and recommendations.
  • Ensures fiscal accuracy of all media buys.
  • Actively follows and applies learnings from the digital and social marketing industry, digital marketing best practices, and associated behaviors both to consumers and B2B customers.
  • Accurately produces, optimizes, and maintains multi-channel programs.
  • Owns accountability to ensure campaigns are achieving established performance metrics.
  • Provides key insights based on campaign data.
  • Identifies anomalies, meaningful data events, and trends for further analysis.
  • Demonstrates ability to reliably support multiple clients while fostering/mentoring direct reports and contributing to the larger Media Connections team.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION:


  • 7-10 years of relevant media experience.
  • Proven experience in developing results-based integrated media campaigns.
  • Strong multi-channel understanding and experience are critical.
  • Inclusive of all forms of digital, emerging, and traditional media.
  • Demonstrated drive and passion for uncovering and identifying connection points – no matter the medium.
  • Uses a creative approach to solving marketing challenges.
  • Demonstrates collaborative behavior and ability to maintain productive and effective working relationships with Engagement, Planning, and Creative teams.
  • Ability to manage others and will have the skills required for effective communication and delegation of tasks.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and assume responsibility, consistently meet tight deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Experience with negotiating and buying traditional and emerging media.
  • Desire to understand and provide insights from campaign data.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and prioritizing.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office).
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
  • BS/BA Strategic Communications, Marketing, Media Studies Communications, or related fields.
