We're looking for a hard-working, out-going individual to provide exceptional customer service for our existing patients. The person in this role will responsible for scheduling new patients, and be instrumental to their care as the initial administrative resource.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and process multiple incoming calls and online requests from patients.
- Maintain patient records in the system ensuring accuracy of all patient demographic and insurance information
- Coordinate with the Clinical Supervisor, Billing Manager and clinical team to ensure required information is obtained for patient records.
- Schedule appointments in accordance with physician and/or department requirements.
- Cancel/reschedule appointments according to provider schedule changes. Coordinates with appropriate clinic staff.
- Send pre-visit information to patients according to site policy.
- Acquire patient records and communicate appropriate information to providers or assistants in the office.
- Perform general office duties including but not limited to data entry, copying, faxing, scanning, sorting/distributing mail, providing reception and telephone service.
- Maintain HIPAA guidelines and handle confidential issues with tact and diplomacy.
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to interact appropriately and congenially with staff and patients.
- Ability to establish comfortable but professional relationship with new patients.
- Ability to independently make decisions in the absence of superiors.
- Ability to adjust to changing priorities, frequent interruptions, deadlines, emergencies and heavy workload.
- Possess a strong working knowledge of computers and technology.
- Skilled in typing with accuracy and moderate speed.
- Understand medical terminology to a level permitting accurate preparation of scheduling patient procedures interacting with physicians, patients and staff.
- Basic organizational skills to ensure a workable efficient office including organization schedules, electronic and paper records and files.

Education:
- High school or equivalent
Experience:
- Medical Office: 1 year (Preferred)
