Envisics is looking to invest in the talent of an enthusiastic Test Automation SW Engineer with particular skills in LabVIEW and Python. The candidate will be supporting the development of next-generation holographic head up display (HUD) technology for the automotive industry. They will be using LabVIEW, Python, C++ knowledge to develop and refine our in-house test and manufacturing processes.
Duties and responsibilities
- Developing new software for control of component and product test and manufacturing systems (using LabView, TestStand, Python, C++)
- Maintaining and improving existing LabVIEW software projects
- Work closely with test, validation and manufacturing teams to best leverage software solutions
- Maintain documentation
To be considered for this role, we will be looking for the following:Education
- Bachelors or Masters degree in science or engineering discipline
- NI certified LabVIEW (CLD level minimum, CLA level is an advantage) and TestStand (CTD level minimum, CTA level is an advantage)
- Other software qualifications (an advantage)
Skills
- Previous experience of controlling equipment using LabVIEW
- Demonstrable use of other software languages (including Python, C++)
- Experience of working within Linux OS environment
- Knowledge of version control systems
- Strong debugging, problem solving and analytical skills
- Confidence working within a small software team supporting a multidisciplinary technology development team
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and progress multiple projects in parallel
- Desire to learn new skills and competencies

- Experience of SQL databases
