Overview
We are looking for detail oriented and customer focused Travel Coordinator (Scheduler). The responsibilities would include setting up daily travel arrangements that include meals, lodging, airfare, funds reimbursement, ground transportation, cost management of services, reporting and providing excellent service to our customers and vendors.Primary Responsibilities· Coordinates travel requests received directly from members and health plans· Verifies and documents travel authorizations received from health plans· Books air, ground transportation, lodging as well as arranging travel funds while considering what best suits the members medical needs· Educates members on meal reimbursement process and procedures· Heavy member communication· Document and provide detailed travel arrangements to members prior to travel and to the health plan as needed· Build relationships with lodging, meal, and transportation companies· Request, track and obtain pre-authorization of services from health plans for members traveling outside of their service area for medical services· Request, follow up and secure prior-authorizations prior to services being performed· Communicate pre-authorization approvals directly with health plan members and Travel Department in a timely manner· Maintains a level of productivity suitable for the department· Clearly documents all communications and contacts with health plans, members and medical facilities· Verify appointment dates and time with medical facilities and ensure they coincide with with pre-authorizations details· Inbound/Outbound Calls for MAL, ITP, MRA, LD NEMT, LD TNC, etc· Other duties as assignedRequired Education and Experience· High school diploma or equivalent· Minimum of one (1) year of travel coordination experience· Minimum of one (1) year of prior in-bound Call Center experience, heavy phone volume· Data entry required and/or experience in a fast-paced, high-level customer service oriented environment· Knowledge of program cost tracking and managementPreferred Education and Experience· Some college preferred· Knowledge of Medicaid NEMT guidelines· Bilingual SpanishSkills· Outstanding problem-solving skills and ability to use soft skills in a high stress environment· Possess a high level of empathy with the ability to work in a positive manner with members, vendors and health plans· Extremely high work ethic with a focus on member satisfaction· Efficient in managing large amounts of data· Ability to meet deadlines with maximum efficiency· Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence effectively in-person, via email, and over the phone· Ability to work with culturally diverse populations· Type a minimum of 35wpm· Ability to adapt to unforeseen circumstances quickly· Ability to work independently and with internal and external teamsJob Requirements· Must be able to pass criminal background record check· Must be US Citizen· Ability to work flexible shiftsAbout SafeRide Health:SafeRide Health is a technology and services company dedicated to reducing barriers to care by improving the delivery of non-emergency medical transportation to people across America.
