The K-5 Program Developer will be responsible for developing curricula, services, and solutions prioritized by the Product & Services Roadmap and defined by the Director, Curriculum and the Senior Directors, Product & Program Success, ensuring the seamless execution of those solutions in our programs to achieve our organization's objectives. A successful candidate will be an experienced educator and educational leader with high accountability, a strong focus on our customers and results, expert project management skills, and excellent communication and collaboration abilities. We coach educators and family members to help kids learn to read by 4th grade. Springboard envisions a world in which parents and teachers work together—rather than in isolation—to accelerate student learning. The K-5 Program Developer supports this goal by developing tools, materials, and work products while providing best-in-class programming for current and future partners that offer student and family instruction. The K-5 Program Developer will report to a Senior Director, Product & Program Success and work as part of the Product & Service department. Here are your priorities in the first year:
- In collaboration with the K-5 Services Product Owner, you will become an expert on the workflow management tool to be used for services, and operationalize that tool for use among your team.
- In collaboration with the Content Architect, you will get trained on the authoring and revision workflow leveraging the Content Management System, and adopt that tool to author and/or revise student and family instructional materials.
- Upon the direction of the Vice President, Product & Program Success, you will define and develop fee-for-service features to improve the sustainability of Springboard Collaborative’s offerings and improve the district and teacher experience.
Here are your responsibilities within and beyond the first year:
- You will manage and support the implementation of Springboard programs at partner schools.
- Work with small to mid-sized clients to create and execute implementation plans aligned with their goals and objectives.
- Provide administrative support for program-related activities, including maintaining databases and tracking budgets.
- Hold session staff accountable for their sites’ performance.
- You will lead and coordinate content improvements to ensure alignment with program objectives and standards.
- Analyze performance and identify opportunities for content development (instructional materials, lesson plans, and other resources) through first-hand observations, feedback, input, and insights (stories) collected from session staff and full-time program delivery staff.
- Plan, execute, and evaluate content development improvements through collaboration with subject matter experts, full-time staff, and external stakeholders.
- Conduct research and stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure content relevance and effectiveness.
- You will lead and coordinate improvements to Springboards service offerings to ensure high-quality and program delivery and implementation of optimal value to our partners.
- Work with Program Directors, Senior Program Directors, and external stakeholders to identify service-related improvement opportunities.
- Ensure that services are embedded in the instructional framework.
- Identify opportunities and plan, pilot, and develop additional services for a fee that are embedded in the instructional framework.
- Conduct research and stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure services’ relevance and effectiveness.
- You collaborate across teams to ensure the efficiency, value, and effectiveness of our programs.
- Proactively communicate the status of program delivery, achievements, challenges, and relevant metrics with internal and external stakeholders.
- Report on project updates and curricular and instructional work challenges, roadblocks, and improvement opportunities to teammates and team leadership.
- You develop comprehensive project plans, set timelines, and ensure successful execution of projects from initiation to closure.
- Plan, execute, and evaluate service delivery improvements through collaboration with subject matter experts, full-time staff, and external stakeholders.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute educational programs, workshops, and events.

- You have a Master’s degree in education.
- You have 5+ years experience in early literacy education with 3+ years of experience managing and coaching K-12 public school teachers.
It would also be nice if you had:
- Experience navigating large school districts and collaborating with key district leaders.
- Experience supporting educators with family engagement strategies.
- Product management and/or project management certifications.

Compensation
Our compensation values: At Springboard, compensation equity is integral to the way we operate and our commitment to competitiveness, pay equity, performance-based rewards, transparent & equitable career growth, and progressive benefits.Compensation for this role: Each role at Springboard is placed in a compensation band with 5 levels. Generally, we expect candidates that meet all the hiring criteria to be offered the midpoint of the band. This role sits within Band 4. The midpoint of this band is $99,833.
The actual level of the successful candidate (and corresponding salary) will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, and other factors. You may also be eligible for Springboard's bonus program.Our process to determine compensation: Springboard does not negotiate the offered salary during the offer conversation. Throughout the interview process, we will evaluate your alignment with the compensable factors listed in the job description. From there, we will determine your starting salary on a level within the job band.

Location and travel
Applications are welcome from any location within the United States. This role can be performed remotely, with quarterly travel to participate in team and org-wide retreats. This role may also require occasional travel to observe programming at partner sites. Springboard Collaborative’s headquarters office is in Philadelphia, PA.Springboard requires in-person employees at a Springboard facility or participating in in-person SBC programming or events to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless a medical or religious exemption is approved.
Being fully vaccinated means an individual is at least two weeks past their final dose of a CDC-authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen. As a condition of employment, newly hired employees will be asked to provide their COVID-19 vaccination status and proof of vaccination, as required.
