After launching successful deployments with multiple hospitality companies where dozens of our robots work alongside hotel staff, we are developing new features and enhancing our current software, which ranges from a customer-facing web application to state-of-the-art electronics. ABOUT YOUYou are an experienced and skilled Accountant looking for a pivotal role that will have a big impact with room to grow. Your expertise and knowledge will be instrumental in effectively managing financial operations. You are a detail-oriented professional with a strong accounting background and a deep commitment to maintaining precise and accurate financial reporting.ABOUT THE ROLE:Job Type: Part-time, 20 - 30 hours per week.

While we do offer flexible schedules, the person in this role would need to be available during normal business hours.  Location: Flexible Hybrid based in Austin, TX. We don't have a set number of days or schedule to come into the office, but you will need to be available to be onsite occasionally as needed. At minimum a few hours 2x per week. Pay: $35 - $40 per hour, based on experience.  RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages all operations in the accounting department, accounts payable, general ledgers, cost accounting, accounts receivable, revenue recognition, and inventory accounting
  • Responsible for month-end accounting close
  • Responsible for all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements; preparing and publishing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Coordinate with HR on payroll and related matters; ensure payroll entries are recorded
  • Leads the accounts payable, purchase order, and disbursement activities, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable to mitigate operational risks and improve cash management.
  • Reviews and analyzes balance sheet and income statement accounts – performs account reconciliations and financial analysis to provide insights into variances.
  • Establishes Sales Tax requirements, and determines and pays sales tax on a quarterly and monthly basis.
  • Monitors the company accounting email box and responds accordingly.
  • Ensures there is an effective and efficient system of internal controls including data integrity, asset protection, segregation of duties, budgeting, financial reporting, information systems, and adherence to corporate policies.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) in accounting or finance or equivalent, CPA is a plus
  • Two (2) or more years of relevant work experience. Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus. Experience in a startup environment is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interface with customers at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Well-organized and self-directed with excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to independently complete multiple time-sensitive tasks and meet established deadlines.
  • Strong desire for professional and personal growth.
