About the role:
Lumafield is looking for a creative, versatile, and self-directed candidate to manage our San Francisco office experience and assist with event planning and execution.Our growing team in San Francisco will move to a new office this fall, so this is a great opportunity to take ownership of our office experience. You’ll be responsible for keeping our office organized, greeting visitors, and organizing office events.Lumafield’s events program is a major component of our marketing strategy. The company exhibits at 30+ events per year with presences that range from small tabletop displays to 40’ x 40’ booths at major trade shows, plus community events and meetups at our growing list of regional offices.
You’ll work closely with our Events Marketing Manager to plan and execute outstanding events at every scale.This role combines responsibilities for office management and events coordination that are sometimes divided into separate roles, and we’re willing to consider candidates who have experience in either office management or events management.This is a full-time role located in-office at Lumafield in San Francisco, and requires regular travel (~20%) to events across the country—and eventually around the world.
What you'll do as an Office Manager:
- Create and maintain a high-quality, organized office environment where our team can do our best work
- Ensure a polished, highly professional visitor experience
- Be a culture champion and lead programs to build company spirit
- Take responsibility for internal office communications
- Organize office events including special celebrations, team outings, and community meetups
- Coordinate with landlord, contractors, and vendors to address maintenance issues and upgrades for the office
- Support the People Operations team by facilitating new hire orientation for West Coast employees
What you'll do as Event Coordinator:
- Assist Lumafield’s Events Marketing Manager in planning and executing trade shows and hosted events
- Coordinate externally with trade show vendors to make sure work orders are accurate and bills are paid
- Coordinate internally with other members of the Marketing and Sales teams to make sure exhibits are up-to-date and our staffing plans are in order
- Travel as needed to events to oversee event setup, execution, and teardown
- Represent Lumafield effectively at events, speaking with visitors and prospects
- Coordinate with vendors, handle invoices, and communicate with internal event staff
- Expected required travel ~20% to various tradeshow locations
About you:
- Previous experience in events management and/or office management

$70,000 - $85,000 a yearThe base salary range listed here represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance.
