pinegaterenewables.com. The Project Siting Land Manager collaborates with the broader Project Siting Team to generate project development pipeline. The role integrates a candidate’s personal experience and ability to work with effectively with other departments to identify suitable land, present value propositions to sell lease concept to landowners, understand land control agreements, and negotiate their terms/language for future utility-scale solar project sites. This role requires experience in real estate, land contracting, or legal work, along with a passion for building relationships with landowners and creative problem-solving skills.

What You’ll Do:


  • Operate as part of a team, exclusively focused on the ERCOT Region of Texas and the PJM Market Region, to create land acquisition campaigns.
  • Engage property owners with land suitable for utility-scale solar development.
  • Create outreach campaigns to generate interest from targeted property owners.
  • Sell and negotiate ground lease agreements, purchase contracts, and easements with landowners.
  • Coordinate and meet with landowners virtually and in-person.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to identify new land acquisition opportunities.
  • Generate and customize land use proposals for landowner review.
  • Work as a Team Member coordinating with GIS and the Transmission team to properly evaluate Opportunities.

Must-Haves


  • 5 or more years’ experience in real estate, business development, oil and gas landwork and/or land contracting/prospecting within the renewable energy industry preferred.
  • A strong understanding of mineral development is essential, as it plays a crucial role in the evaluation and acquisition of land for energy projects.
  • Proactive approach to business development, identifying and pursuing new opportunities to expand the company's land portfolio.
  • Substantial experience in negotiation and contract management, ensuring successful agreements that align with the company's strategic goal.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships that support the successful acquisition of land.
  • Ability to creatively solve complex land acquisition challenges, finding innovative solutions that drive project success.

Education and Certifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, real estate, energy management, energy commerce and/or agriculture.

Work Environment


  • Remote with in-office option. Up to 50% travel.
  • A preference for Residents of Texas, Oklahoma or Louisiana, but will consider all candidates who meet key requirements.
