Senior Software Engineer
to work on a project in the medtech industry.

We’re committed to building an inclusive culture based on trust and innovation.You will be part of a distributed team developing a digital solution that provides the health and social care sector with an enhancement in the process of recording, analysing, and sharing information.We are looking for someone with good communication skills, being proactive, used to building software using different programming languages, and with good attention to detail.
What you will do:
- Analyse user requirements to inform the development process.- Design, write, and test new software programs, refining and rewriting code as necessary.- Evaluate and maintain software and systems, ensuring they work efficiently with hardware.- Develop and modify existing programs by identifying areas for improvement.- Integrate existing software products and ensure compatibility across platforms.- Create and maintain technical specifications and operational documentation.- Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.- Monitor systems and correct software defects to ensure optimal performance.- Investigate and implement new technologies to stay at the forefront of industry advancements.- Continually update technical knowledge and skills through training, reading, and hands-on practice.
What you will bring:
- Strong experience in backend development, with programming languages such as
Python
(Ruby or PHP would be other options).- Proficiency in working with
databases
and ensuring data integrity and performance.- Solid understanding of unit testing practices.- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for streamlined and efficient software delivery.- Knowledge of AWS for monitoring and deploying applications in a cloud environment.
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with frontend technologies such as Vue.js or React is highly desirable.
