About the Job
The FP&A Analyst performs financial and business-related research and analysis such as the preparation of forecasts and/or analysis of financial reports, records, and trends; Develops and maintains spreadsheets and databases to facilitate analysis and reporting; and is responsible for conducting and documenting financial analysis projects. This role requires strong analytical skills and expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Excel to manage corporate KPIs, budgets and forecasts, and ad hoc analysis.
This key position reports to the Manager of FP&A, and interfaces with a variety of high-level executives and organizational leaders.
What you’ll do:
First 30 days:
- Conduct financial and business-related analyses and research including the preparation of forecasts and/or analysis of trends.
- Provide reasoning for variances and make recommendations relative to the accounting or reserves, assets, and expenditures.
- Independently pursue fundamental problem solving and document the recommendations to management.
- Lead and document financial analysis projects including the preparation of ad hoc reports, to include, but not limited to; gathering of data, analysis, documentation of findings, and calculation of results and generation of reports for distribution.
First 90 days:
- During the first 90 days shadow the 2025 budget process currently underway and work closely with CFO, VP of FP&A, FP&A Manager and Budget Stewards to develop understanding of current processes and models.
- Drive monthly and quarterly internal management reporting process and distribution to the CEO and each Budget Steward. During the first 90 days become familiar with the current process and become FP&A lead for the Shared Services BU.
- Organize and coordinate quarterly P&L re-forecasting based on feedback from your business partners.
- Create and develop headcount reporting within your first 90 days.
- Manage and review quarterly sales commission calculations. During the first 120 days learn calculations of the 2024 commission plan and be prepared to take lead on the 2025 plan.
First year:
- Contribute to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the business in collaboration with senior management.
- Responsible for improving the organization’s budgeting, planning, forecasting, analytics, and reporting capabilities.
- Assessing and providing recommendations on how the mix of people, processes and technology can improve an organization's financial reporting; and how to implement efficiencies and improvements in these areas
- Develops key performance indicators measuring the financial health of the organization or assigned units or functions.
- Reviews past and current financial performance against budgeted estimates and develops models that assist management in understanding the financial impact of business decisions.
- Conduct presentations to all levels of management in order to provide a summary of analysis regarding financial results and trends.
- Develop and/or document business policies, conduct special financial and business-related studies and cooperate with other departments in the preparation of analyses.
- Overhaul and/ or create policies, practices, and procedures for sustained performance improvement.
- Transform data into Tableau dashboards or other visualizations sets.

What you have:
- BA/BS degree in Business, Accounting, Economics, or technical field desired, along with 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Experience building Tableau dashboards or other visualizations
- Expert Excel spreadsheet, pivot tables, formulas and chart skills; you’ve used Excel on a daily basis for 2+ years
- Strong organization skills to handle a variety of activities and successfully meet strict deadlines set by our vendors
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and superb accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Eagerness to share information and present data in a compelling manner
- Intellectually curious and interested in understanding not only the “what”, but also the “why” as part of your analysis.

- Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce a plus
