What will you do?
Core Responsibilities and Key Performance Objectives
- Standardize and Enhance our CI/CD process to ensure efficient and reliable deployments.
- Monitor and Optimize the performance of LineVision’s cloud environment.
- Foster and Facilitate a culture of collaboration, supporting individual and team DevOps needs.
- Within Three Months:
- Complete onboarding and familiarize yourself with the company's infrastructure, tools, processes, and culture at LineVision.
- Establish strong working relationships to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the current CI/CD pipelines and begin identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate closely with the Software Platform Lead and Data Engineering Team to align improvements with the platform vision.
- Within Six Months:
- Implement enhancements to the CI/CD pipelines based on the initial assessment.
- Take ownership of a project to fully automate deployment processes.
- Improve monitoring and logging across the infrastructure.
- Contribute to the implementation of security best practices across the infrastructure.
- Document and share knowledge on the improvements and solutions you have implemented.
- Within a Year and Beyond:
- Lead the development and deployment of new infrastructure projects, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Continuously evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to improve efficiency and performance.
- Take a proactive role in long-term strategic planning for infrastructure growth and optimization.
- Contribute to the company's DevOps culture by promoting collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for team members, providing guidance on best practices and new technologies, and offering training as needed.
What do you need to succeed in this role?
- Demonstrated familiarity with AWS cloud services (e.g., Lambda, RDS, ECS, EC2, ELB, VPC, API Gateways, CloudWatch, and VPN).
- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Git, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Pulumi, and Terraform).
- Strong coding skills or a strong desire to learn to code, with experience in languages such as Python, Go, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with the Agile process and a desire to actively participate as part of an Agile team.
- Collaboration skills to enable cross-functional communication and a positive work environment.
- A desire to do meaningful work; leave a legacy on the future of the electric grid.

Salary Description$110,000-$135,000
