Job Summary
The Internal Vulnerability Remediation Engineer (VRE) will use professional technology skills and experience to research and analyze remediations for detected vulnerabilities on internal Ntiva systems, including any potential side effects. They will put in change requests for the necessary changes to accomplish the remediation. The (VRE) will then perform the approved changes, in scheduled maintenance windows, and in collaboration with other members of the team and vendors as needed.The ideal individual for this role will need to demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a passion for Information Technology and Security.
The (VRE) must be a team player, yet work well independently. He or she is a consummate IT professional, detail oriented and self-motivated individual who excels at successfully and efficiently solving IT Security problems.

Responsibilities
- Serve as primary engineering resource for Ntiva, Inc internal vulnerability remediation
- Research and analyze vulnerabilities and their possible remediations
- Assess business risks related to each vulnerability, including potential side effects from remediations
- Identify opportunities for scripting and automation to aid in remediation
- Make recommendations, including prioritization based on risk and level of effort
- Create requirements and submit change requests
- Schedule and communicate maintenance windows
- Perform approved changes
- Collaborate with team members and vendors as needed
- Identify opportunities and make recommendations to enhance our overall security posture
- Report to the Director of Information Technology
Required Skills
- At least 2 to 5 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
- Vulnerability remediation experience in Windows/Mac/Linux systems, and network equipment
- Microsoft Windows experience including system implementation, management and documentation
- Exchange, Office 365, and Azure AD experience including administration, migrations, enterprise apps, and SSO
- Network infrastructure administration of routers, firewalls and switches
- Strong written/verbal communication skills, critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Hands-on in a help desk environment and consulting experience is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; equivalent experience acceptable
- Experience with ConnectWise family of products or similar service management system is preferred

The base pay range for this position is expected to be between $55,000.00 and $115,000.00 per year, plus an annual on-target bonus. The base pay offered may vary depending on multiple non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, and PTO.
