Full-timeDescriptionThe Territory Sales Representative is responsible for building, growing, winning, and maintaining businesswithin the assigned Territory and accounts,  This role develops, cultivates, qualifies, actions, and closes said business from leads that are self-generated, company provided, and existing/repeat customers. It will administer and maintain customer relationships, expectations, and outcomes from an outside sales perspective as well as collaborate with safety, management, engineering, and purchasing professionals at various medium sized and Fortune 1000-level companies to conceptualize, develop, and plan unique fall protection solutions and projects that help to ensure people go home safely each day. This role is critical to the organization and will be integral to the continued growth of the Company.

This individual contributor rolerequires a self-directed, organized, forward thinking, service minded, and energetic person who is results-driven and is capable ofprofessional and detailed follow through.  It requires calling directly on and visiting customers and facilities across your designated Territory seeing a variety of industries and customers that few salespeople get to enjoy working across. 

  • High-Tech manufacturers that produce semiconductors and computer processors. 
  • Heavy industrial manufacturers that produce everything from tissue paper to steel and minerals.
  • At-height environments from hydro-electric dams to the tops of skyscrapers.
  • Aircraft manufacturing and maintenance hangars servicing everything from fighter jets to massive cargo planes.

Key Responsibilities


  • Follow and execute the established Company Sales Process.
  • Meet and exceed assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for total sales and gross margin.
  • Develop and execute individual and company business development plans.
  • Develop industry expertise in the Territory marketplace, proactively engage in industry related business
  • development opportunities, and become a trusted advisor for those customers.
  • Develop and nurture strong business relationships to turn customers into partners.
  • Promptly act on and effectively qualify new leads to advance into the future quotes and orders funnel.
  • Regularly travel to customers in your Territory, performing site visits & consultations.
  • Competently assess customer facilities and situations to accurately prescribe a fall protection solution.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and technical proposals.
  • Maintain CRM database of assigned leads, opportunities, quote, and orders.
  • Proactively schedule and manage daily & weekly activities on calendar.
  • Produce regular, accurate, and timely reporting of activities, forecasts, and orders.
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Category Manager and/or Sales Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of sales experience selling to end-user customers.
  • Consultative and solution-based sales experience incorporating multiple, phased services within a product
  • or package.
  • Proven track record of professional success of meeting and exceeding goals. High level of proficiency with MS Office, Excel, Outlook, CRM systems, and other software programs.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, coupled with a willingness to communicate extensively.
  •  Intermediate or advanced knowledge of safety hazards that exist within Territory.
  • Basic or general knowledge of and enthusiasm towards fall safety requirements, methods, and products.
  • Professional Sales Training
  • Ability to read and comprehend contracts, building drawings, and technical documents.
  • Ability to recognize and take measurements, then convey that information to other stakeholders.
  • High level ability to produce comprehensive, organized, detailed, well-written documents.
  • A Passion for providing superior consultative service, reliability, responsibility, detail orientation, and punctuality.
  • A Team Player Attitude as one who unselfishly collaborates with peers, partners, and leaders towards success.
  • Travel – Approximately 30-40% travel regularly away from home at various customer locations in USA.
  • Ability to submit to a background and drug screen and must possess a valid driver’s license and good motor vehicle record

  • Employee must be able to occasionally climb or walk at long distances and above average heights as well as kneel and
  • crouch, and to lift, move, pull and transport at least 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. maximum.
  • At customer sites the employee will be required to use basic measuring tools and wear Personal Protective Equipment. 
  • For Training Purposes, may be assigned to Installation or other Field Work on occasion.

Annual recertification programs are also available to ensure continuous compliance with all local and federal regulations. Training A sound working knowledge of the system is the key to increased safety and productivity. A formal training program will be held at your facility ensuring correct use of the systems thereby increasing worker safety, comfort and productivity. The need for continuing training and retraining is easily met by using our Maintenance Manual.
