Clarity Partners is seeking a

Business Intelligence Engineer local to Chicago, IL.

This individual will
assist the water quality team on a client facing project

.

This position will report in a hybrid setting.

Responsibilities:


  • Analyze large sets of water-related data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Develop and maintain data models that support accurate and meaningful analysis.
  • Utilize statistical methods and predictive modeling to derive insights from water-related datasets.
  • Design, develop, and implement Business Intelligence solutions tailored to water industry requirements.
  • Utilize BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms to create interactive dashboards and reports.
  • Ensure that BI solutions provide actionable insights for water quality, consumption, and infrastructure management.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to integrate data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to streamline data integration workflows.
  • Work on optimizing data pipelines for efficiency and reliability.
  • Optimize BI solutions for performance, ensuring responsiveness and scalability.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance metrics, identifying and addressing bottlenecks.
  • Implement best practices for data indexing, partitioning, and storage.
  • Document BI solutions, data models, and workflows for future reference.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on utilizing BI tools and interpreting visualizations.

Requirements

Requirements:


  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Engineer or a role similar.
  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics, preferably in the water industry.
  • Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Strong experience with data integration and ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with database management systems and SQL.
  • Experience with optimizing data pipelines and BI solutions for performance.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to document processes and train end-users.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and with cross-functional teams.
