Responsibilities


  • Uses a variety of reporting tools and sources to analyze and evaluate performance across our sites (users, sessions, orders, revenue etc.) addresses any issues that arise.
  • Uses python to automate, clean, re-structure, and analyze large datasets.
  • Utilizes python to build predictive models to forecast future site performance. Uses these models to work with internal stakeholders on budget planning and goal setting.
  • Utilizes python, SQL, and Tableau, to develop robust interactive visualizations, reports and dashboards that benchmark site performance, identifies trends, and detects areas of concern.
  • Interacts with various Python APIs (REST, SOAP etc.) using Python Requests and JSON parsing techniques.
  • Uses ETL process to unify data from multiple areas of the business.
  • Conducts both ad hoc and ongoing historical analyses on business line specific KPIs. Clearly and visually communicate relevant findings and offer recommendations to grow revenue.
  • Communicates current revenue performance to stakeholders and executives.
  • Proposes solutions and strategies to business challenges.
  • Leads the charge on finding ways to make accessing data and insights easier, including alerting stakeholders to potential problems. 
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to determine the business value of various product initiatives.
  • Ensures data integrity across all reporting, such as honoring validation processes and identifying areas to improve. workflow and consistency in reporting infrastructure and processes.

Requirements

  • Intermediate python programming skills for ETL and data analysis.
  • 3+ years’ experience writing Python scripts for ETL and data analysis.
  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis, preferably in media, tech, advertising, or ecommerce.
  • 3+ years of experience retrieving data from various databases/warehouses using SQL
  • 1+ years’ experience creating dashboards in Tableau Desktop.
  • Advanced level expertise in Excel.
  • Strong analytical/quantitative skills and comfortable working with very large sets of data.
  • Experience using various reporting services, pulling data from multiple sources, and using databases to query and extract relevant data.
  • Proven track record of compiling data in comprehensive reports, analyzing trends and making fact-based recommendations.
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness and self-reliance, strong self-teacher passionate about problem solving.
  • Comfortable with presenting findings to a variety of different audiences and in multiple formats (written, verbal, visual).
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, clients, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly proactive, results-oriented with strong customer service orientation and excellent attention to detail.
  • Proven team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Professional verbal/written communication skills.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:


  • Intermediate or higher skill level in python for ETL and data analysis for very large data sets.
  • Experience using python to query APIs.
  • Familiarity with media and ecommerce KPIs
  • Experience building effective machine learning algorithms and predictive models.
