THE OPPORTUNITY
Wavicle Data Solutions LLC seeks a Data Governance SME with Microsoft Purview experience.
WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO
- Utilize Data Governance (DG) processes to establish and maintain criticality assessments and business definitions for data within assigned domains.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand data context and requirements, ensuring accurate mapping and alignment with business needs.
- Utilize data profiling results to enhance understanding of data quality, lineage, and usage patterns within specified domains.
- Partner with technical teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and data architecture designs.
- Actively contribute to the development and implementation of data governance frameworks and policies to support effective domain management.
- Kick off a new, basic Data Governance program and establish its operating model.
- Implement basic functionality via MS Purview, to enforce data quality.
- Train and collaborate with the client's lead data steward to establish the initial DG program and help plan its evolution after this initial engagement.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science or relevant field is required.
- 5+ years of experience architecting, designing, and developing large scale data solutions utilizing a mixture of Big Data, Machine Learning, and Relational database platforms.
- Strong hands-on experience in AWS technology stack (Redshift, Lambda, EC2, Glue, SNS, SQS, EMR, S3, Kinesis, RDS).
- Hands-on experience with Databricks and Snowflake.
- Database experience with DynamoDB, MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, SQL server, PostgreSQL.
- Working experience of Microsoft Purview.
- Strong Digital Marketing and Data Analysis skills.
