About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to join Wheel. In this role, you'll transform complex data into actionable insights that drive organizational success. Using advanced BI tools, you'll create impactful visualizations, interactive dashboards, and reports, working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to inform critical decisions. Fundamentally, this role is about enabling the business to make better decisions using data. Your analytical skills will be crucial in uncovering trends, optimizing operations, and shaping healthcare delivery strategies.

This role offers the opportunity to tackle real-world healthcare challenges, from predicting patient needs to enhancing financial performance. This role blends hands-on data analysis with the opportunity to improve healthcare outcomes.

What You’ll Do



  • Conduct in-depth analysis of data, across clients, clinicians, and patients, operational efficiency, and financial performance; Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns 

  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Looker); Create compelling analyses, reports, data visualizations, and dashboards to communicate meaningful findings both internally and externally

  • Develop hypotheses on how trends/insights from our data may impact clinicians, patients, and clients, and communicate potential opportunities from these insights

  • Work closely with clinical, operational, and finance stakeholders to understand their data needs; Translate complex business requirements into analytical solutions

  • Present findings and insights to diverse audiences, including executives and healthcare professionals; Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and dashboards

  • Proactively address data gaps within the organization, partnering with our data engineering team to ensure we have measurable data to track operational performance

  • Ensure data quality and maintain data integrity across all BI systems and reports

  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis and create reports to address urgent business needs

Who You Are



  • 3-5 years of experience working as an Analyst capacity in support of a data product

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field required; Master’s Degree in a related field preferred

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and ability to interact directly with databases, warehouses, and other cloud data stores

  • Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, etc.)

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and communicate results with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively present findings and interact with both technical and business stakeholders

  • Ability to research and identify market trends, understand customer challenges, and present findings to internal and customer stakeholders

  • You’re willing to roll up your sleeves, you have a bias towards action, love of learning, and strong ability to execute

  • You have a curiosity when it comes to understanding the underlying patterns beneath data

Additional Core Competencies



  • Proficiency in Python programming for data access, manipulation, analysis, and visualization (nice to have)

  • Experience with AI tools that enabled Business Intelligence and data visualization

  • Experience working at an early stage, data heavy, healthcare startup or in a highly regulated industry like financial services

  • Ability to balance multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
