Responsibilities:
- Develop new user-facing features
- Responsible for helping define architecture standards, selecting appropriate technologies, and guiding the development lifecycle to ensure robust and efficient web applications.
- Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
- Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code.
- Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, user experience, product and analytics teams to identify needs, evaluate requirements, write specifications, and design and implement sophisticated software systems.
- Bring a proven understanding of algorithms, design patterns, debugging and memory/performance optimization.
- Create documentation and tech plans for new architecture/system designs.
- Mentor fellow engineers from a technical perspective, and conduct regular code reviews to ensure high quality.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated expertise in architecting comprehensive frontend systems, focusing on overall system design, scalability, and performance optimization.
- Experience with Javascript, Typescript, HTML, CSS and frameworks like React or Vue.
- Familiarity with RESTful API as well as modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
- Experienced in modern dev tools, process and methodologies
- Good communication skills – particularly the ability to discuss timelines, design concerns and provide helpful feedback to team members.
