The Task At Hand:
The Senior Manager of Consumer Insights is an individual contributor who will bring broad capabilities across primary research, business analytics, syndicated analysis, and project management. This role reports to the Senior Director of Brand Marketing. They will develop the annual research agenda and prioritize and recommend solutions. This person must be comfortable working with, influencing, and presenting to officers of the organization. They should consistently demonstrate data mining along with holistic thinking, strategic agility, and leadership with all levels of the organization.
In This Role, You Will:
• Work with business partners to uncover underlying business needs and craft high-value learning agendas• Establish a consumer-centric organization through the design and conduct of consumer research to uncover valuable insights about our target audience• Design, execute, and analyze primary research (both qualitative and quantitative), and synthesize syndicated sources (Numerator, Shopify/Peel, Mintel, Gutcheck, SPINS, SurveyMonkey, etc)• Evolve current consumer personas to guide marketing and product development efforts• Collaborate closely with the marketing team to align campaigns/communication with consumer preferences and needs• Provide actionable and data-driven recommendations for improving customer experience and engagement.• Independent department ownership covering multiple task levels from strategy to execution while paving the way for a team build• Monitor industry, global, and reporting (including AI) trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and threats• Proactively uncover innovative research methods to enable quicker, consumer-informed decision-making.• Report on critical metrics and KPIs by working with business teams to understand their decision-making and processes• Provide clear and concise storytelling reporting and key dashboards, effectively analyze outcomes, and translate data into actionable insights and recommendations organization-wide• May be asked to perform additional duties as necessary
In This Role, You’ll Bring With You:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field required. Master’s Degree preferred• 7+ years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 4 years in a manufacturer-side, branded consumer-packaging-goods company. Food or beverage industry experience required• Required experience leading, designing, executing, and reporting primary market research. This includes knowledge of marketing research techniques such as consumer segmentation, brand tracking, concept testing, creative briefing, creative asset testing, and purchase journeys• Familiarity with DIY Platforms and Tools• Excellent knowledge of marketing strategy and how to integrate consumer insights fundamentals including primary & secondary consumer research, syndicated research, positioning & communication development, and strategic business analysis.
This includes segmentation, need states, concept development/validation, test-and-learn approaches, creative testing, and more.• Demonstrated success in leveraging consumer knowledge and insights to drive business results and impact strategy• Must be a forward thinker; challenging the status quo and leveraging research to support previously unidentified space and strategic decisions• Experienced reporting to senior executives• Excellent planning and project management skills• A highly motivated leader with the ability to devise an excellent solution in unstructured situations• Passionate and proactive about making the work environment fun and rewarding• Up to 10% travel required: Although this role is a remote work-from-home position, we “Farmers” do meet as a company and/or as a department a few times a year. Anticipate possible travel up to a few times each quarter• Genuinely passionate about improving childhood nutrition for a healthier and happier planet• Desire to contribute to a dynamic high-growth, purpose-driven work environment• Previous exposure to cross-functional work between Sustainability and Marketing preferred• Must reside in the United States to be considered for this position• Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Compensation:
• Full Time, Exempt, Salaried.• The anticipated salary range for this position is $100,000.00 - $135,000.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a few factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses, stipends, equity, and role-specific perks.
