About the role: 


We’re looking for someone who has a strong sense of ownership, deep respect for others, strives for excellence in a changing environment, and does not forget to have fun while on a mission to build smarter and safer connected driving for Honda vehicles. An individual who is passionate about HR and building a strong company culture through close collaboration with all stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing:


  • Design and implement People programs and processes to minimize manual transactions by automating it, resulting in the employee-friendly information on the knowledge base or improvement of self-service capabilities.
  • Support the People function by contributing to ongoing process improvements and holding a high bar for oneself.
  • Organize and manage onboarding programs for new-moders, making sure our employees are getting the best orientation experience and integration into the company.
  • Own benefits, health insurance and wellness programs administration and make sure employees are well educated on the offerings.
  • Manage various types of leaves from operational standpoint to employee experience and awareness.
  • Consult employees on day-to-day people matters and provide support on the requested documentation.
  • Manage and update HR and HR related systems (HiBob, Notion, Freee, etc.) and make sure data is accurate and up to date.
  • Prepare, review, interpret and analyze a variety of data, information and reports and make recommendations on findings.
  • Work closely with the Finance team and Payroll vendor to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.

What We Are Looking For:


  • At least 5 years of experience as HR Generalist or People Operations in both fast-growing technology companies and more established organizations.
  • Solid experience building people-friendly HR processes and setting up HR systems Payroll and social insurance management experience.
  • Demonstrated capability in developing, refining, and implementing people-centric processes and initiatives with a commitment to efficiency and maintaining a positive employee experience with an agile mindset.
  • A proactive “can do” attitude and ability pivot on the fly.
  • Proficiency in both English and Japanese with the ability to fluently and effectively communicate internally and externally.
