About the role:
Rain AI is looking for a Frontend Design Manager to lead the development of our AI accelerators. The candidate will report directly to Rain AI’s head of hardware engineering. The role involves leading a small design and integration team throughout the entire front-end flow. The responsibilities include micro-architecture, design, integration and implementation of IPs and SoCs.
Responsibilities:
Managing a design team through the entire development cycle of IPs and SoCs
Defining and tracking SoC schedules
Overseeing the implementation of the SoC flows
Interfacing with other cross-functional groups like DV, and PD
Dealing with 3rd party IPs and vendors
FPGA development platform support
Packaging, boards and bring-up responsibilities
Qualifications:
10+ years of design/management experience with a minimum of a Bachelors degree in electrical engineering
Strong understanding of digital design concepts and flows
Knowledge of System-Verilog
Experience with industry EDA front-end tools (lint, CDC, RDC, synthesis…)
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Track record of taking silicon to production
