OPPORTUNITY
Mammoth is currently seeking a talented and detail-oriented Senior Research Associate to join our Editing Technology team. Editing Technology develops next-generation CRISPR tools for therapeutic genome editing applications. The successful candidate will work closely and collaboratively with colleagues to design, execute and analyze genome editing experiments in mammalian cell lines to support the development of new gene editing technologies for human therapeutics. The position requires adaptability, excellent technical and analytical skills, strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently in a fast-paced team-oriented and dynamic environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Execute molecular cloning, cell culture, transfection and NGS and flow cytometry assays.
  • Provide technical support for phenotyping and analytical characterization of genome editing outcomes
  • Analyze, document and communicate experimental results accurately and in a timely manner. 
  • Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner. Adhere to site environmental health and safety (EHS) requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor’s degree in molecular and cell biology, immunology, biochemistry, or a related field
  • 5 years relevant laboratory research experience 
  • Knowledge of gene editing systems
  • Proficiency in mammalian cell culture, transfections, molecular cloning, PCR, genomic DNA and NGS library prep

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Industry work experience 
  • Master’s degree
  • Experience with molecular biology techniques
  • Experience with NGS sample preparation
  • Experience with complex cell culture systems
  • Experience developing human therapies using genome editing systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant data analysis software (Flowjo, GraphPad Prism, etc.)
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills, excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.  Highly motivated with strong work ethics
  • Ability to work efficiently and productively in a fast-paced highly collaborative team environment

Base Salary Range: $95,000 - $108,000Actual base salary will be determined by relevant professional experience, applicable skills, and internal equity.
