As Senior Director of People & Culture, APAC, you will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the human resources functions across our offices in Sydney, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and other future Asia-Pacific locations. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, you will ensure the alignment of HR strategies with Odaseva’s goals and contribute to a positive workplace culture. This role encompasses responsibilities in payroll, office management and comprehensive HR issues.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Payroll Management: Overseeing and ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll of employees in Australia, Malaysia, Singapore and future Asia-Pacific offices. Ensuring compliance with local payroll laws and regulations. Managing payroll records, including deductions, benefits, and tax withholdings.
- Office Management: Supervising the administrative functions and office operations to ensure a smooth and efficient workplace. Coordinating with local vendors and service providers for office supplies and maintenance.
- Human Resources Management: Developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. Managing the recruitment and selection process to ensure the hiring of qualified candidates. Supporting current and future business needs through the development, engagement motivation, and preservation of human capital. Developing and monitoring overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the APAC organization.
- Performance Management: Implementing and managing performance appraisal systems that drive high performance. Providing guidance and supporting to managers on performance management and employee development. Identifying and addressing training needs to support employee growth and development.
- Employee Relations and Culture: Fostering a positive working environment through effective communication and relationship management. Addressing and resolving employee issues, conflicts and grievances in a fair and timely manner. Promoting and sustain the company’s culture and values.
- Compliance and Policy Development: Ensuring legal compliance throughout human resource management. Maintaining and developing HR policies and procedures that reflect the company’s values and comply with local labor laws. Conducting periodic audits to ensure HR processes are compliant and efficient.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Preparing and presenting reports on HR metrics and trends. Utilizing HR analytics to inform decision-making and strategic planning. Monitoring and reporting on workforce and succession planning.
- Corporate Liaison: Acting as the Primary liaison for APAC with corporate functions such as legal, finance, and global HR teams. Ensuring alignment of APAC HR strategies with global corporate policies and initiatives. Facilitating effective communication between APAC offices and global corporate functions.
You will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8+ years of proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role, preferably in a multinational company.
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices in Asia-Pacific countries.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage and influence others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in HR software and Google suite.
