Compensation:
$69,500-$76,400
Work Schedule:
8:00am – 5:00pm Monday through Friday with some remote work opportunities. Requires travel approximately 50% of the time with occasional overnight stays. Evening, weekend and non-regular work hours may be required.
General Summary:
Under the direction of the assistant director, Member Education, Engagement and Outreach, research, implement and present group education programs for State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio (STRS Ohio) members and recipients.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Present workshops, seminars, and other educational programs to active members and retirees. Requires travel approximately 50% of the time, with some overnights necessary.
Research new programs for members and retirees in accordance with the STRS Ohio mission statement. Assist coordinators in the development and marketing of programs.
Create and develop working relationships with employer human resource offices. Help to discern districts educational needs and best program(s) to facilitate that education. Partner with districts to plan and market appropriate workshops.
Respond to all members follow up questions and concerns.
Participate, lead or complete special projects or duties as assigned.

Summary of Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education, business or communications required.
Marketing experience preferred.
High degree of accuracy in math and English skills.
Proficiency in the use of presentation software and multimedia equipment.
Ability to accurately interpret, apply and explain Ohio Revised Codes 3305 and 3307, Ohio Administrative Code and STRS Ohio policies concerning retirement benefits required.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, assist in the loading and unloading of vans for field visits and set up booths at benefit fairs required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with internal and external contacts required.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment while meeting deadlines with minimal direct supervision required.
Excellent work record of attendance and punctuality and the ability to maintain a flexible schedule to meet business needs. Occasional evening, weekend and non-regular work hours may be required.
