The Role
As a Marketing Solutions Architect, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our Iterable marketing platform, while also taking charge of key tasks within Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to ensure seamless tracking and reporting across our owned marketing channels. Your role will include the development, design, improvement, and maintenance of the platform's architecture, as well as ensuring effective integration and usage of various marketing technologies.We seek a candidate with a data-driven, analytical mindset, a passion for optimizing user journeys, and hands-on experience in customer lifecycle marketing.
You should have a growth mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects with various stakeholders, including external vendors, and lead projects from inception to completion.
Problems You Will Solve
- Design and develop the Iterable marketing platform to meet business requirements for marketing programs.
- Evaluate design outcomes to ensure technical objectives are met.
- Oversee and maintain our Iterable instance and the broader digital marketing technology stack.
- Collaborate with the data engineering team to ensure data tables are processed, transferred, recorded, and utilized effectively.
- Ensure the accuracy of API event JSON payloads.
- Manage user-level Email, Push, and SMS journeys, including criteria to prevent overlapping or duplicative experiences.
- Manage content and delivery of outbound webhooks from Iterable to internal databases.
- Define user segments for targeted emails and audience sizing.
- Monitor API event logs and email send volumes to identify outages or data integrity issues.
- Conduct tasks related to Google Analytics (GA4), Google Ads and Google Tag Manager, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of marketing data.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to write data requirements for new marketing communications and enhancements to existing campaigns.
About You
- 12+ years of relevant experience.
- Relevant education may be considered in lieu of work experience, such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Management, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of direct experience with Iterable or similar email platforms (e.g., Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Marketo) required.
- Experience working with highly technical teams, including Business Intelligence, Engineering, and Product, is required.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and quantitative data analysis.
- Experience in lifecycle marketing and email deliverability best practices preferred.
- Technical expertise in HTML, CSS, and basic programming skills.
- Strong knowledge of marketing technologies, including Google Analytics (GA4), Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, SparkPost, and Twilio.
- Understanding or experience in the finance/banking industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of API events and webhooks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and techniques.
