CareDx is looking for a SOX and Internal Audit intern professional to be part of the team that oversees internal control over financial reporting (“ICFR”). This is an exciting and educational opportunity to assist with evaluating the Company’s SOX program and partner with functions across the company to ensure a strong environment for ICFR. This position reports to the Head of SOX & Internal Audit, and is based in Brisbane, California. Schedule: 25 hrs./week; 3 days onsite in Brisbane Office
Responsibilities:
- Document controls, processes and procedures related to SOX 404 compliance.
- Update internal control documentation and assist internal and external auditors with controls walk-throughs.
- Perform SOX testing for internal business process and IT controls.
- Assist in ad hoc/special projects, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or Masters Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, MIS or related area.
- A robust analytical skill-set. Advanced experience in Excel. Experience with Microsoft with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment, detail-oriented, and execution focused.
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Highly collaborative and team-oriented.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Knowledge of the requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Section 404, PCAOB standards, and other applicable professional guidance.
