As a Finance Manager at 90 Seconds, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our financial strategy and ensuring our growth is both sustainable and data-driven. Reporting to the CFO, you'll develop and refine financial models, perform variance analysis, and manage cash flow across multiple regions. Your insights will directly influence business decisions and help maintain our financial health as we expand globally.
In addition to financial modeling, you'll lead the monthly closing process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. You'll manage key accounting tasks, including bank reconciliations, expense claim approvals, and system access management. Your ability to streamline financial operations will be crucial in driving efficiency and accuracy across the finance team.Collaboration is key in this role, as you'll work closely with stakeholders across the organization to align our financial processes with strategic goals.

Your expertise in financial analysis, accounting, and systems management will make you a trusted advisor and finance business partner, helping to optimize our financial performance and support 90 Seconds' continued success.

What You'll Love Doing


  • Monthly Closing & Reporting
  • Month-End Closing: Lead and manage the month-end closing process, ensuring timely completion of tasks as per the monthly reporting checklist.
  • Review & Finalization: Review monthly closing tasks and reports, including variance analyses, cash flow models, and asset/liability updates.
  • Stakeholder Reporting: Generate and present financial reports, key metrics, and KPIs to stakeholders, including detailed discussions with the CFO.
  • Cashflow & Reconciliation Management
  • Cashflow Oversight: Manage and update cash flow files for AU, NZ, and related entities, ensuring accuracy and alignment with projections.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Conduct full bank reconciliations across multiple regions, ensuring all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies resolved.
  • Expense & Payroll Reconciliation: Review and approve expense claims, supplier invoices, and payroll reconciliations, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • System & Process Management
  • System Access Management: Oversee access to financial systems (Xero, Fathom Reports, payroll systems) and ensure proper setup for new joiners and leavers.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve financial processes, including reconciliation, reporting, and variance analysis procedures, to enhance efficiency.
  • Asset Management: Manage the procurement, tracking, and maintenance of company assets, ensuring accurate records and compliance with company policies.
  • Taxation & Compliance
  • Tax Preparation: Assist in the preparation and submission of corporate tax computations, GST deferrals, and other tax-related filings for various entities.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all financial operations and reporting comply with relevant tax laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Financial Modeling & Analysis
  • Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models that integrate income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow projections.
  • Forecasting: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data for accurate financial forecasting, incorporating assumptions and projections.
  • Variance Analysis: Perform detailed variance analysis across entities, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to improve financial performance.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Support special projects and ad hoc financial analysis requests as required by management.

Who You Are


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Master's degree or CPA/CFA certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial planning & analysis, preferably in a technology or SaaS environment.
  • Proficiency in building and maintaining complex financial models, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data management platform and accounting software (eg. Xero).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all deliverables.
