We currently have an open position in the Geotypical Modeling Department for a Geotypical Production Lead. The primary workplace for this position will be your home office and our South San Francisco office. Due to the fact that some of our work involves export controlled or other US Government restricted information, applicants must be U.S.

Responsibilities and duties will include but not be limited to the following:
- Supervise and evaluate Production Assistants daily to assure that the quality and consistency of production content in development meets both program requirements and company standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for functional production team group for subjective questions and file handling relating to their assignment.
- Report status of production assignments to Production Supervisor as needed. Update PA calendar accordingly.
- Responsible for final Q&A of all Geotypical database content (Yours and your PA’s), including vectors, workspaces, generated features, and all program input (SME and internal).
- Assist in pre-production related tasking including tree generation, workspace generation, building generation, and feature model guide(s) for production team.
- Conduct formal training for Production Assistants on all feature encoding, feature processing, DBTool, PC-Nova, ArcGIS/QGIS. Maintain records related to individual employee training activity.
- Continue to assist in GT production as directed by overall GT department planning for all basic and advanced features, including DR fixes. Work with other departments as needed.
- Provide support related to internal DB tool development, as well as research for 3rd party software options.
- Approve employee timesheets for accuracy and verification of adherence to state laws related to break, lunch, and overtime policy for non-exempt personnel.
- Support Production Supervisor in conducting quarterly performance evaluations for direct reports.
- Beginning Machine Learning in conjunction with GIS software.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Min 1-2 years experience working as a senior production assistant.
- Mastered the understanding of 3D visual composition as it relates to real world data for simulation (i.e. relative scaling, spatial orientation, color, texture).
- Maintains consistent quality of work.
- Solid understanding of Vector Programs such as Arc GIS and QGIS as it relates to shape creation and generation.
- Proven ability to process shapefiles, .cll’s/ct’s and .hie features into runtime.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficient file management including naming conventions.
- Effective time management, able to consistently meet deadlines.
- Ability to learn quickly and take on new challenges are they arise.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot in pc-nova, planter, and dbtool.

- Perforce
- ESRI ArcGIS, QGIS
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- In-house software, including company used Jira site.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, ELIGIBILITY AND EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years of related experience; BA or BS degree from accredited college or university or equivalent employment history
$83,000 - $103,000 a yearThe above range is specific to CALIFORNIA and may not be applicable to other locations. The pay scale for this role is between $83,000 - $103,000.
