We are looking for a Test Engineer who will collaborate with development & service teams to understand product requirements and ensure testability. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with automation and manual testing, strong expertise in API and performance testing, and a solid understanding of CI/CD processes.
You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our Ivoyant products through comprehensive testing strategies.Location: iVoyant Systems Private Limited, J P Nagar 2nd Phase Bangalore, KA.
Generic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering/MCA.
- 2+ years professional experience in Software Development.
- Work experience in Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Planning & Strategy:
- Develop and maintain test plans and strategies in alignment with product requirements.
- Create detailed test cases and test scripts, ensuring coverage of all functional and non-functional requirements.
- Test Execution:
- Perform manual and automated testing using Playwright, covering functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Execute API testing using Postman, including performance and load testing.
- Utilize Azure DevOps (ADO) for test management, version control, and CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Automation & Performance Testing:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
- Incorporate API performance testing within Postman into the testing framework.
- Analyze and report on performance testing results, making recommendations for improvements.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on testability.
- Participate in code reviews, providing insights from a testing perspective.
- Document test results and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and tools in software testing.
- Continuously improve test processes and tools to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in automation testing using Playwright.
- Experience with API testing and Postman, including performance testing.
- Solid understanding of Azure DevOps (ADO) for version control, test management, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with manual testing, including functional and non-functional testing.
- Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience in software testing, preferably in both manual and automation roles.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment processes.
- Familiarity with other testing tools and frameworks.
