ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a seasoned IT professional to lead our global IT functions around System Administration, networking, business application and all IT related needs. This role requires strong know-how, service orientation and excellent delivery approach in various IT technologies, on-premises and on-cloud. In addition, you will be required to manage, communicate and collaborate with teams of engineering and non-engineering employees who work on site and remotely in US, Mexico and other remote locations globally.
You will lead a team of IT professionals as well as 3rd party suppliers providing all needed IT services. You will collaborate with other members of the engineering, finance, and supply chain team in other locations. You must be able to work independently with close communication with your manager, located remotely.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
- Take responsibility for projects and solutions within the larger business initiative.
- Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems administration.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software.
- Track and maintain hardware and software inventory
- Develop and implement strategic IT plans and initiatives that align with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
- Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals distributed across two locations globally. Provide guidance and support to team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
- Oversee day-to-day IT operations, including network infrastructure, systems administration, cybersecurity, helpdesk support, and vendor management.
- Ensure the reliability, security, and performance of IT systems and services across all regions.
- Manage IT projects from initiation to completion, including scope definition, resource allocation, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project objectives, and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Monitor and assess IT risks and implement controls to mitigate potential threats to data security and business continuity.
- Evaluate, select, and manage IT vendors and service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services. Negotiate contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and pricing terms to optimize value and minimize risk.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration between IT teams and other departments within the organization. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand their IT needs and priorities and ensure alignment with IT strategy.
- Train employees to use software and hardware; troubleshoot issues and provide technical support when needed.
- Develop and execute disaster planning and maintain data backups.
- Manage and oversee business systems with a primary focus on the company’s NetSuite ERP and Atlassian products. Ensure an effective day-to-day operation, configuration, and maintenance of these systems to support business processes and workflows.
WHAT WE WANT TO SEE
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CISSP, ITIL) preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in information technology, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role in global companies with multiple locations.
- Proven track record of successfully managing global IT operations and projects in a complex organizational environment.
- Strong technical skills across a range of IT areas, including networking, systems administration, cybersecurity, cloud computing, backups, and recovery procedures. Experience with specific technologies such as Intune, Microsoft Office 365, Azure AD, Active Directory, Apple Business Manager, and Palo Alto security products is required.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams across geographically dispersed locations.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic IT plans that drive business value and innovation.
- Experience with IT governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, SOX).
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with a focus on delivering projects on time, within budget, and to specification.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Knowledge in NetSuite and Atlassian products is preferred.
- Fluent English is a must.
