The Job


We’re hiring a Technical SEO manager to bring Flo’s SEO capabilities to the next level. Flo’s website team has been growing strong recently and we need a technical SEO to help us systemize and improve our approach to technical SEO to set us up for success in growing organic. You’ll join the SEO team that currently consists of a single Senior SEO Manager. SEO in Flo is based in Marketing and needs to effectively work with other departments to deliver, especially Engineering (MarTech, Analytics), Product (Content, Design, User Research), Legal, and Medical. The team you’ll work closely with consists of: Senior SEO Manager, Product Manager, Engineering Manager + 2 engineers, QA manager, CMS release manager, Web Analyst, Content Lead + 2 content editors.

Your Experience


Must have:


  • 3+ years of experience working in SEO in-house or at an agency. Possess a strong personal perspective and a preference for the technical aspects of SEO;
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in problem-solving environments and a strong desire for autonomy;
  • Confidence in decision-making and providing actionable suggestions;
  • Demonstrated ability to run complex SEO projects independently, like crawling and schema optimization, adjusting site architecture, launching new pages;
  • Experience migrating websites and/or CMS;
  • Knowledge of Google’s guidelines, but not being overly attached to them. Adaptability and prioritization of practical solutions are key;
  • Knowledge of basic HTML and using developers tools, ability to spot technical issues (our website QA will support you);
  • Experience working with Engineers (front end and back end) and effectively communicating with them;
  • Basic GA4 and advanced GSC knowledge;
  • Agile understanding and Jira experience;
  • Strong sense of ownership and resilience in improving the website working with other teams collaboratively;
  • Experience with building business cases and convincing stakeholders with data (our website analyst will support you);
  • Open-minded attitude and willingness to learn new things.

Nice to have:


  • Experience with Contentful, Looker and GTM;
  • Knowledge of Python and/or JavaScript.

What you'll be doing


You'll be responsible for:


  • Finding and fixing technical issues across our website and its subdomains;
  • Working with the website team to deliver new pages and optimize existing ones;
  • Ideating and owning improving our website’s architecture and functionality, to improve Flo’s visibility and revenue, alongside the Senior SEO Manager;
  • Preparing and leading a CMS migration to Contentful, alongside architecture changes (the site will also be rebuilt in a new coding language);
  • Developing and implementing processes that help us stay the leader of the search, also in terms of Generative Engine Optimization and AI Overviews;
  • Identifying new SEO opportunities that will help us reach our goals;
  • Collaborating closely with our Engineering team and creating positive relationships;
  • Identifying and evaluating potential website acquisition targets;
  • Ensuring adherence to SEO best practices with a balance;
  • Analyzing the results of your work.

You’ll be targeted on:


  • Keeping Flo’s website healthy, through creating processes and implementing monitoring;
  • Improving Flo’s organic visibility thanks to new developments in structured data or website structure optimization;
  • Making sure a migration is done without harming our performance.
