Position Information:
BreakForth Solutions is seeking a Senior AWS and Web Application Business Analyst (BA) to join the AWS Cloud development effort of the team supporting our federal customer’s Chief Information Officer. The candidate should have AWS Cloud and Modern Web Application experience. Experience working in Federal IT organizations is preferred.Essential Functions:
- Work with the AWS/Web Application teams and stakeholders to gather and prioritize business and user requirements against the clear objectives articulated for the AWS development project(s).
- Write, Evaluate, analyze, and communicate systems requirements on a continuing basis, and maintain systems processes.
- Develop and update “As-Is” and “To-Be” documentation and other required requirements documentation.
- Execute Business Process Modelling (BPM).
- Execute Brainstorming and context diagramming with technical team members, system users, and other stakeholders.
- Work with developers and testers to write use cases.
- Facilitate working sessions with technical team and/or stakeholders to understand gaps and requirements.
- Apply analytical techniques to gather information from users, define work problems, and design technology solutions.
- Create and maintain a detailed product backlog, ensuring it is aligned with business goals and customer needs
- Monitor and analyze product performance, using data-driven insights to make informed decisions
- Act as the primary point of contact for all product related inquiries and issues
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge in eliciting, writing, prioritizing, and creating requirements documentation.
- Experience working in an AWS Cloud environment and an understanding of AWS native tools.
- Experience working in Web Applications and vetting and documenting requirements for Web specific use cases and experience flows.
- Proven work experience as a business analyst or Product Owner.
Education/Skills/Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in business analysis and requirements documentation.
- Able to work in a technical environment (AWS Cloud, Angular, familiar with concepts like hashing and encryption)
- Intermediate to Expert user of Microsoft Office to include MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to work in a fast-paced agile environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Salary will commensurate based on experience.
