- The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for maintaining, reconciling and communicating the pipe, fitting, reel and skid inventory within the FlexSteel organization to be able to support both the internal and external customer needs.
- The Inventory Coordinator role is part of the Services organization and will be primarily responsible for inventory management once products leave the plant (pipe yards, job sites, etc.). This will ensure that proper decisions are made to increase profitability and provide A+ customer service.
- This position requires background in ERP inventory management with strong communication skills with both internal and external customers, organizational skills, ability to multitask, self-motivation and the ability to make decisions. The Inventory Coordinator is ultimately responsible for matching FlexSteel products to customer needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Daily follow up with Assistant Value Stream Manager to ensure delivery dates are maintained and all pipe/fitting needs are met.
- Work closely with Manufacturing Controls Manager on manufacturing schedule to properly answer questions for sales needs with consideration for manufacturing, backlog and forecasted orders.
- Assist the Sales forecasting team to provide insight on current orders and expected delivery dates
- Allocate pipe to all sales orders using FIFO method based on inventory levels with consideration to other customer sales.
- Develop and distribute reports needed for inventory management to warehouse supervisors so they can properly provide feedback on inventory details for proper reconciliation.
- Reconcile inventory of all warehouses for pipe, fittings, reels and skids on a periodic basis.
- Work with accounting to identify necessary adjustments to inventory based on periodic reconciliations.
- Manage inventory movement between locations to keep minimum stock levels current, avoid insufficiencies or excess surplus.
- Assist the logistics team on optimizing rail and reducing costs to FlexSteel and customer.
- Administer web-based reports, material planning window, shipping process, IBT and inventory reports.
- Collaborate with all internal customers to ensure business goals are met.
- Provide timely and informative stock reporting to management as required
- Support special projects and other strategic initiatives related to product/inventory
- Perform other duties as directed.

and QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor’s Degree, plus three to five years’ experience in relevant position.
- Background in ERP Inventory systems with focus on inventory planning
- Excellent communication skills both internally and externally
- Experience in stock management and stock file accuracy
- Structured thinking and excellent attention to detail a must
- Strong critical thinking, organizational, decision making, and planning skills are required.
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
- Ability to accurately track and reconcile inventory and create reports
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work with staff at all levels
- Ability to work in a cross disciplined team and effectively manages, interface, delegate, and lead.
- Must be able to handle stressful situations with many simultaneous demands effectively and professionally
- Computer proficiency in programs such as Excel, MS Word, Project (or equivalent), and PowerPoint.
