The Director of Compensation and Benefits assumes a strategic leadership role, managing and supervising the organization's compensation and benefits programs to attract, retain, and motivate employees effectively. This includes a meticulous analysis of salary data, benefits packages, and incentive programs to ensure their alignment with the company's overarching goals and financial parameters. Furthermore, the Director actively contributes to cultivating a positive work environment by overseeing comprehensive employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.

This role involves close collaboration with diverse cross-functional teams, working in tandem with other HR professionals and the finance and legal teams to guarantee that all compensation and benefits practices adhere carefully to legal requirements and regulations. The ultimate objective is to nurture a highly motivated workforce, fostering both satisfaction and enthusiasm among employees, all while safeguarding the organization's financial well-being and ensuring strict legal compliance.

Responsibilities


  • Manage, monitor, and evaluate the organization's compensation and benefits programs and policies to ensure it stays competitive and continues to align with business goals
  • Conduct market research and analysis to benchmark compensation and benefits practices against industry standards, ensuring the organization's competitiveness in the talent market while effectively managing against our own programs and policies.
  • Design and administer employee benefit programs, including health and wellness plans, retirement savings, and other fringe benefits.
  • Collaborate with others on the HR team, finance, and legal teams to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to compensation and benefits.
  • Analyze compensation data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement, providing recommendations to leadership.
  • Lead the annual merit, bonus, and equity processes. 
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, consultants, and brokers to optimize services and costs related to compensation and benefits programs.
  • Create and implement comprehensive training initiatives tailored for employees and managers, aiming to enrich their          comprehension of the organization's compensation and benefits packages to cultivate a supportive and knowledgeable work environment.
  • 401K discrimination testing and reporting, annual 550 form reporting, employee benefit plan audits, etc. 
  • Oversee DEI initiatives
