About the Role:
Passive Plus is looking for an Electronic Technician to be part of Passive Plus Technical Assistance department. We are looking for someone who has a good foundation of electronic theory, with familiarity in component level electronics.
Responsibilities:
- Measurement of electrical parameters for passive electronic components (Capacitors, Resistors, Inductors) using basic electronic instruments (Capacitance meter, Multimeter, Oscilloscope, etc.).
- Operation of specialized equipment (Coaxial Resonant Tube, RF Power Test Setup, Vector Network Analyzer, Temperature Chambers).
- Management and presentation of collected data to Engineering.
- Maintaining calibration/service records for instruments in the lab.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Electronic Technology, Electronic Engineering Technology, or equivalent technical training.
- Electronic Theory: Basic Circuit Theory, Series/Parallel Circuits, Resonance, basic operation and use of Capacitors/Resistors/Inductors
- Mechanical: familiarity with hand tools, soldering iron
- Desirable Qualifications
- Knowledge of RF concepts: Frequency Plots, Scattering Parameters, Smith Chart
- Knowledge of electrical design software: Sonnet, HFSS, Spice
- Software
- Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point
- Drafting: AutoCad
