Founded in 2017, Dovetail has 100+ employees across offices in Sydney and San Francisco.As a Content Marketing Manager, you’ll report to our Head of Brand & Content and work closely with the broader marketing team including creative, demand generation, product marketing and be an outstanding cross-functional collaborator.You’ll have a passion for storytelling, and you’ll be skilled in crafting and prioritizing key narratives that translate into pipeline, engage our B2B audiences and drive conversion across the funnel.
As an excellent project manager, you’ll be the backbone of our content program, building and owning our always-on content strategy, and working to continuously educate our audiences on the value of Dovetail.
What you'll do
- Own the always-on B2B content engine. Create and drive a content program that sees us consistently, cohesively engaging with our key audiences. Partner cross-functionally on ideation around our key narrative pillars and drive the end-to-end production and publishing lifecycle.
- Know what makes our audiences tick. We are a customer-obsessed team. Become an expert on our customers and key audiences, what they need and value most, and create tailored narratives and content that speaks directly to them at various stages of the funnel.
- Content development. Create / support the creation of a wide range of high impact collateral, including case studies, blog posts, email campaigns, webinars, research reports and sales enablement tools. You should have exceptional writing skills, an ability to marry product narratives with Dovetail’s brand voice and thought leadership perspectives.
- Support multi-channel brand marketing campaigns. Help drive the execution of brand marketing campaigns that deeply resonate with customers and target audiences across all channels, including website, social media, email, events and paid advertising.
- Manage freelancers and contractors. Onboard and manage any additional writing resource needed to deliver long and short form content.
- Measurement and reporting. Work closely with the team to develop a philosophy of measurement and reporting for content performance as a demand channel. Continuously improve the performance of campaigns and content.
Your background
- Experienced content marketer. 6+ years of experience supporting a B2B content marketing function in partnership with demand generation teams.
- Strong writing skills. A passion for writing, with a proven track record of developing clear and compelling narratives across diverse mediums and channels.
- Experience measuring impact. Experience being held to metrics-based outcomes of content marketing.
- Comfortable on the tools. Experience working with a Content Management System (CMS) and other publishing tools, and knowledge of best practices for content management.
- Strong domain expertise is a plus. Ideally, you have hands-on experience working in startups that are growing and transitioning to a more mature scale-up. You’re experienced in the B2B SaaS space, or have a keen interest in learning.
- Pragmatism. We're looking for someone who can wear multiple hats across the entire lifecycle of content ideation, production, management and publishing. You’re excited to work across a diverse team and solve any challenges that come your way.
