Position

Nurix Therapeutics is searching for a motivated 
Senior Research Associate to join our Bioanalytical team. The successful candidate will contribute to the bioanalytical efforts to support Nurix drug discovery programs. Primary responsibilities will be to conduct in vivo sample bioanalysis.  The scope of the daily responsibilities for this position includes; developing bioanalytical methods, quantitating drug candidates and their metabolites, endogenous biomarkers in biological matrix (e.g. blood, plasma, tissues, tumor, CSF, etc.), and reporting bioanalytical results.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in bioanalytical method development and sample analysis using LC-MS/MS and other analytical techniques. S/he is expected to independently plan and execute experiments, interpret results and troubleshoot problems.

Key Responsibilities


  • Provide bioanalytical support for PK, non-GLP toxicology and in vitro/in vivo PK-PD efficacy studies
  • Conduct bioanalytical method development and qualification to support drug, metabolite and biomarker analysis
  • Independently develop LC-MS/MS methods to quantitate small molecules in in vitro and in vivo samples
  • Independently operate, troubleshoot and maintain LC-MS/MS and analytical equipment.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary project teams and collaborate with other departments, including pharmacology, chemistry and biology to understand bioanalytical needs for PK support
  • Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory notebooks
  • Ability to think and plan strategically, and excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Perform all duties in keeping with the Company’s core values, policies and all applicable regulations

Preferred Qualifications & Experience


  • Experience with H/UPLC and mass spectrometry
  • Extensive experience with sample analysis to support PK, PK/PD, PK/efficacy, distribution, metabolism, and non-GLP toxicology studies
  • Extensive experience in developing and implementing LC-MS(/MS) based assays for small molecules in biological matrices
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with maintaining detailed up to date raw data and lab notebooks with all relevant documentation and electronic files.

Minimum Requirements


  • BS or master’s with >3 years’ experience working in a discovery setting using LC-MS/MS within a pharmaceutical/biotechnology company
  • Broad experience in small molecule biomarkers as well as drug candidate bioanalytical assay development/sample analysis in different biological matrices using LC-MS/MS
  • Experience with AB Sciex mass spectrometry softwares
  • Excellent written, verbal communications and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external partners in a matrix environment
