We seek an experienced and dynamic Sales Director to spearhead our commercial activities in the power electronics and electric vehicle (EV) components market. This role will report to our Chief Revenue Officer, driving the growth and success of our business in the automotive sector and beyond. It offers a significant opportunity for personal and professional development by disrupting the market with unrivaled technology for the future of power electronics. You will be developing and executing sales strategies to expand our market share with multinational industry leaders.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in selling to the automotive industry, world-class communication skills, exceptional leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of the electric vehicle market.The position will be based in the following locations: Madrid, Spain; Munich, Germany; and Shanghai, China. Relocation assistance is not eligible for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase market share in the electric vehicle and power electronics components sector.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key automotive manufacturers, identifying their needs and ensuring our product offerings meet their requirements.
- Help scale organizational growth as financial targets are met by building, mentoring, and managing a high-performing sales team, providing guidance and support to achieve individual and team sales goals.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new business opportunities and enable us to capitalize on our unique technology offering. Our offering provides the ultimate thermal conductivity and electrical insulation, enabling novel power electronics architectures that will radically advance miniaturization, efficiency, and robustness for our customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a similar science-based major, with an MBA degree preferred. Minimum of five years of experience successfully selling into the automotive sector, focusing on electric vehicles and component sales to manufacturers.
- Must have proven high-quality communication skills and a track record of successful negotiation skills that have led to revenue growth with automotive customers. Business English language proficiency is required.
- Must have a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of a customer organization.
- Must have a deep understanding of the electric vehicle market and power electronics, including industry trends, regulatory requirements, and technological advancements impacting new vehicle developments and technology selection.
- Proficient in reading and writing the English language.
