Program Manager
We are seeking a dedicated Program Manager to work with our passionate teams in the US and the UK. The Program Manager will be fully responsible for ensuring the successful operation of our VPP services. You will collaborate closely with the Delivery team to support the launch of new services and manage ongoing operations for both internal and external clients in the US. On a given day at Lunar, you’ll likely…
- Ownership of the service delivery elements of the client contract, and ensuring delivery adherence to client contract SLAs.
- Actively monitoring flexibility services dispatches, forecasting and health monitoring systems. Monitoring device onboarding and responsible for scaling of the service.
- Reporting on the service performance including performance metrics for internal and external audiences - SLA adherence, cost, revenue, margin, on-time delivery, outages, etc.
- Identifying and raising issues impacting the service. Working collaboratively with internal and external teams to diagnose and determine appropriate fixes.
- Providing support to the client and internal teams analysis, reporting and gathering data as required.
- Identifying service delivery improvement opportunities and working with the relevant team to execute on these opportunities.
- Assisting with building strong client relationships and managing client expectations.
- Setting up the delivery for clients by establishing the internal operating procedures for how the service will be delivered, operated and supported. Working closely with the operations team to ensure an efficient and high standard of support to end customers.
- Achieving deadlines related to milestones required to meet the client’s expectations.
- Ongoing management of the client service delivery including running periodic delivery meetings with the client and communicating client requirements to the technology team.
- Coordinate with different business units in the company to work together and overcome conflicting priorities.
- Identifying opportunities to add more value to the client e.g. offering new Lunar products
- Attend face to face briefings and workshops with clients related to the ongoing operation or expansion of services
Desired Skills:
- Experience in the energy grid services industry is a must, the residential sector is a plus.
- Experience managing US DER grid service programs / flexibility services. Project management/delivery experience is a plus.
- Experience working closely with product and technology teams on software centric services.
- Provide operational insight and support for service design activity
- Process oriented with great attention to detail and documentation skills
- Technical literacy – robust understanding of residential DERs, including data, IoT control and their operation
- Communication - you can communicate effectively and credibly with technical and non technical personnel
- Contract management - can easily digest, understand and enforce processes to ensure adherence to contractual obligations
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills: influencing and persuasion skills
- Proactive problem-solver with a bias to ownership
- You are adaptable and are able to handle uncertainty with a positive, solution-oriented attitude

Our Compensation Philosophy:
Our goal is to ensure that all Lunar Energy employees are fairly compensated. Please note that the salary range information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position provided pursuant to the Pay Transparency for Pay Equity Act for California applicants. The salary range estimate for this position depending on level of experience is: $90,000 - $125,000 USD.
