About the Role


  • Build extensible data pipelines for integrations between the Archive platform and brand systems
  • Develop use cases for AI applications on top of data alongside product development
  • Architect internal data infrastructure to power product metrics and analytics
  • Contribute to and develop reporting practices for internal and external use

  • You love working with data and solving complex problems with elegant solutions using code
  • You have the ability to continuously learn, work independently, and take initiative
  • You’re highly analytical and have an eagerness to tackle problems across the business
  • You have excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in teams of technical and non-technical individuals
  • You are mission driven and love the fact that the better we do as a company, the less waste we’ll see in the world

Skills / Experience


  • Engineering background, preferred in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, and Data Science
  • Proficiency working with large datasets using modern data languages and libraries (e.g. SQL, Python, Pandas, iPython Notebook, Spark)
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
  • Professional experience with data management systems and data warehouses
  • Bonus: Experience with data visualization platforms and business intelligence tooling

$135,000 - $175,000 a yearThe expected annual base salary range for this position is $135,000 - $175,000. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors which include (but aren’t limited to) such as role level, skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, location, and experience. In addition to base pay, certain roles are also eligible for equity.Archive is a Series A startup backed by top-tier investors including Lightspeed and Bain Capital. We’re a fast growing team, working with over 50 brands including The North Face and New Balance.

The founders, Emily and Ryan, bring a mix of business and technology experience including 2 startups and a successful exit.We are honored to be named Fast Company's #2 Most Innovative Company in Retail in 2024. The team is currently remote-first with a hub office in NY and optional in-person work for those located in the area. We have company offsites twice a year to bring the full team together in person, and occasional travel is expected as part of the job.We consider applicants of all backgrounds.
