Archive is the leading technology platform for branded resale. The company works with more than 50 global brands including The North Face, Diane von Furstenberg and New Balance, to develop innovative resale programs that keep products out of landfill. This role offers the challenge of building highly scalable backend services that unlock deep insights for our customers about the full lifecycle of their goods. Help us build out the resale intelligence layer of our platform to keep these goods in use for longer.
About the role
- Design and implement services for our platform that include tools to identify and prepare items for resale, fulfill and support customer orders, handling everything from graphQL action handlers to 3rd party integrations.
- Expand and grow our resale intelligence capability to turn rich data into actionable intelligence and optimize profitability of our clients.
- Work closely with our brand success teams and logistics partners to deliver core Archive product features that power resale operations.
- Provide data and analytical support for brand success initiatives.
About you
- You love working with data and solving complex problems with elegant solutions using code.

- You are self-directed and do not shy away from unique, under-defined problems.
- You have excellent communication skills and can collaborate effectively in teams of technical and non-technical individuals.

Skills / Experience
- Experience building and shipping performant, scalable services to real users.
- Ability to balance upfront data model & architectural complexity with moving to ship quickly.
- Proficient with programming languages such as Typescript, Python, Java, or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience with SQL.
- Bonus: Proficiency working with large datasets using modern data languages and libraries (e.g. SQL, Python, Pandas, iPython Notebook).
- Bonus: Experience in graphql from react-based client applications.
- Bonus: Prior experience in a technical, customer-facing role.

$175,000 - $225,000 a yearThe expected annual base salary range for this position is $175,000 - $225,000. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors which include (but aren’t limited to) such as role level, skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, location, and experience. In addition to base pay, certain roles are also eligible for equity.Archive is a Series A startup backed by top-tier investors including Lightspeed and Bain Capital. We’re a fast growing team, working with over 50 brands including The North Face and New Balance.
The founders, Emily and Ryan, bring a mix of business and technology experience including 2 startups and a successful exit.We are honored to be named Fast Company's #2 Most Innovative Company in Retail in 2024. The team is currently remote-first with a hub office in NY and optional in-person work for those located in the area.
