Job Title: Wire Assembly Technician Company: Lonestar Integrated SolutionsLocation: Houston, TexasJob Type: Full-timeEEO Class: TechnicianVETERANS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLYLonestar Integrated Solutions is seeking an experienced and highly organized Wire Assembly Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to provide effective and efficient cable assemblies in accordance with customer requirements and contribute positively to the daily production operations of the company. They will also be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results. Responsibilities:
- Assemble harnesses, cables, and wire per required specifications.
- Perform functional testing on assemblies.
- Test assemblies per customer and/or division criteria.
- Operate test equipment in compliance with engineering standards.
- Prep assemblies for shipment.
- Communicate regularly with supervisors on inventory or assembly problems.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Production or shop experience working in a production role.
- Strong safety mindset.
- Soldering skills a plus.
- Highschool diploma or GED
- The ability to read, follow and interpret cable assembly instructions as well as engineering or customer drawings.
- A good team player who enjoys collaborating with others.
- Demonstrate solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of wiring color codes, connectors, lugs, and wire specifications.
- Knowledge of crimping wires by industry best practices and broad knowledge of crimping tools and their correct use.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly works around moving mechanical parts and in warehouse conditions that are not always climate controlled and may include, heat and humidity.
- Noise level may be loud at times.
- Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
