Summary:
QC Lab Technician personnel ensure that profitable, quality product is sold to the marketplace in compliance with the applicable ISO standards by the efficient, reproducible, and accurate analysis of raw materials, intermediate products, and final products, and contributing to the control of the processes supporting this outcome.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Chemical and physical analysis of raw materials, intermediate products, and final products to ensure conformity to standards and specifications with the generation of accurate test records. Tests include but are not limited to automated and manual titration, Brookfield and U-tube viscosity, FTIR spectroscopy, pH measurement, tensile and overlap shear force measurement, physical properties testing (hardness, resilience), and UV curing and photoactivity of UV-curable resins/adhesives.
- Laboratory instrumentation/equipment upkeep and maintenance, ensure cleanliness of work area.
- Maintain compliance with proper laboratory notebook and documentation practices.
- Assist with process control to ensure that all required testing and documentation is completed to demonstrate conformity of products to specification.
- Project support work including statistical analysis, investigation support, and testing study/validation samples.
Qualifications, Education and/or Experience Required:
- 2-3 years of experience in a QC laboratory and manufacturing environment or a 2-year degree in chemistry/related field, or similar field.
- Familiarity with analytical testing concepts, practices, and instrumentation/equipment use and upkeep. Proficiency with Microsoft Office required (Excel, Word, Office).
Language Skills:
- English required, bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
Physical Demands:
- Walking, standing for prolonged periods, may frequently lift/move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds, good manual dexterity for proper laboratory techniques.
- Respirator (full/half face) required for certain tasks.
Work Environment:
- Chemical Laboratory – exposure to chemicals including, but not limited to: cyanoacrylates and organic solvents.
- Must follow all laboratory/company safety procedures, including Lone Worker policy (second shift) and wear proper PPE.
